Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru and a mixed martial artist who is fighting for UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 as well as the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina last fought against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 with the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via second-round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback to fight Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi with a unanimous decision. She then lost her subsequent fight due to the split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The bout earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee.
